HellCup #9 Playoffs

The Group Stage demonstrated that the tournament is home to truly strong, skilled, and young teams capable of putting on an impressive show. As a result, experienced teams were unable to play as easily in the Playoffs.

Out of the 16 teams from the Group Stage, only the eight strongest advanced to the Playoffs:

  • ARCRED
  • Insilio
  • brazylijski luz
  • VP.Prodigy
  • Endpoint
  • ALTERNATE aTTaX
  • 1win
  • 500

These teams delivered exceptional performances, unveiled intriguing strategies during the Group Stage, and are ready to do it again in pursuit of victory, as eight more specially invited teams await them.

Here is the list of invited teams:

  • 9Pandas
  • BLEED Esports
  • Grannys Knockers
  • Gaimin Gladiators
  • Guild Eagles
  • Nemiga Gaming
  • Sashi Esport
  • SINNERS Esports

Among the invited teams are true professionals, such as 9Pandas and Gaimin Gladiators, who have repeatedly participated in major and serious tournaments and truly know what the fight is all about.

Round 1

In Round 1 of the Playoffs, eight invited teams and eight teams that emerged from the Group Stage clashed in a thrilling display of skill and determination to prove their supremacy. Only eight teams would advance to the next stage. Round 1 was played in a Bo3 system.

Here are the results of the Round 1 matches:

  • Gaimin Gladiators vs 500 (2:1)
  • Grannys Knockers vs brazylijski luz (2:1)
  • Sashi Esport vs ALTERNATE aTTaX (2:0)
  • 9Pandas vs ARCRED (2:0)
  • BLEED Esports vs Insilio (2:1)
  • Guild Eagles vs 1win (0:2)
  • Nemiga Gaming vs VP.Prodigy (2:1)
  • SINNERS Esports vs Endpoint (2:1)

HellCup #9 Quarterfinals

Eight teams have emerged from the matches of the previous stage, and they will now compete for the grand prize.

Gaimin Gladiators vs Grannys Knockers

Despite the fact that Gaimin Gladiators is more recognizable and more often attends major tournaments, Grannys Knockers turned out to be stronger and not just stronger. On the second map, Anubis simply demolished Gaimin Gladiators with a 13:2 score.

In general, Grannys Knockers won a fairly easy victory 2:1.

Sashi Esport vs 9Pandas

Oh, what an experience the first map of this encounter brought us! The teams initially reached a tie, followed by a set of overtime, tension in each round, incredible opponent kills, and interesting tactics. There was everything here, but Sashi Esport won the first map. The second map went to 9Pandas, but Sashi Esport won the decisive third map and advanced to the next stage.

BLEED Esports vs 1win

Unfortunately, in this match, 1win proved to be a very strong opponent for BLEED Esports, as they won 2 maps without much difficulty. BLEED Esports tried to show some interesting gameplay, but they were not prepared for such a strong opponent or perhaps for such a map pool.

Nemiga Gaming vs SINNERS Esports

The situation with these teams was very similar to the situation with 1win and BLEED. In this match, Nemiga were much more prepared than SINNERS Esports. Perhaps the Czech team was not ready for this particular opponent, or perhaps they had some problems with their teamwork. However, the result of this match was 2:0 for Nemiga Gaming.

HellCup #9 Semifinals

The semifinals are the penultimate stage, where the winners are already guaranteed a cash prize. There are only two matches and four teams, but there is so much emotion, especially between Granny’s Knockers and Sashi Esport.

Grannys Knockers vs Sashi Esport

This match was the pinnacle of the entire tournament, and we believe it was worth watching if you missed it.

The first map, Nuke, was not very tense and looked quite one-sided. Grannys Knockers won rounds convincingly and took a lot of attention to themselves. They threw grenades correctly and did everything at a really high level. Thanks to these factors, they easily won the first map 13:6.

However, the most interesting part of the match started on the second map when Sashi Esports entered the game. They understood that they picked Nuke and lost it, so playing on the opponent’s map requires extreme caution.

Sashi Esport really did just that, even though they were on a rollercoaster, losing one round and winning the next. However, their caution helped them win one crucial round that turned the whole game around, allowing them to take the second map from their opponents.

The tension was palpable on the third map as the teams once again engaged in a fierce battle, each round a testament to their unwavering determination. The match was so closely contested that it was forced into overtime.

Even here, things were not so simple. Both teams were ready for any scenario and were already used to their opponent. However, Sashi Esport won the well-deserved victory with a small margin of 19:17.

1win vs Nemiga Gaming

Unfortunately, the second Semifinals game did not live up to the first, lacking the same level of passion and excitement. Once again, 1win faced a formidable opponent in their rivals. Perhaps if the tournament bracket had been constructed differently, the outcome would have been different, but such is the nature of chance.

1win effortlessly dispatched their opponents on Anubis, scoring 13:7, and then won on Ancient, scoring 13:10. With this win, 1win secured their place in the Grand Final of the tournament.

HellCup #9 Grand Final

The two strongest teams met in the Grand Final of the tournament, where a fair duel would determine the winner.

Here’s the list of map selections and bans:

  • 1WIN removed Nuke
  • Sashi removed Anubis
  • 1WIN picked Ancient
  • Sashi picked Vertigo
  • 1WIN removed Inferno
  • Sashi removed Dust2
  • Mirage was left over

Ancient

No matter how formidable 1win were, they still met an opponent of equal strength, or perhaps even stronger. The first map started with Sashi winning the pistol round and then another. This is where 1win realized how serious their opponent was.

Playing as terrorists, 1win managed to take a few rounds and plant the bomb, but it was nothing more than luck. Sashi have come a long way and are showing incredible results. And this was no exception. They easily defended against all of 1win’s attacks and managed to go into the first half with a good 8:4 score.

Many will say that defending is harder than attacking, but the Sashi team will tell you that it makes no difference to them, as they can easily handle their opponent, even as terrorists. In the second half, Sashi was not without problems, but it managed to take the five rounds needed for victory and moved on to the second map with a victory.

Vertigo

Sashi picked Vertigo, and it was quite expected that the team had been preparing for it and would now show all their secret positions and tactics. UnfortunatelyUnfortunately, we didn’t see anything secret about grenades, or maybe Sashi’s tactics were simply for the whole team to get into a steamroller and crush their opponent without even feeling it.

One can only imagine the profound dejection that must have gripped 1win in the face of such a crushing defeat.

Congratulations to Sashi Esport!
